Pride & Glory, Truth & Beauty was originally made available as a free 4-song EP from my website while I was finishing up work on my undergraduate degree. There wasn’t really any cohesive theme to the album, so I just picked a word from each of the song titles to come up with the album title. Pretty original, eh? I never intended for it to be a physical product, but I was emailed by a Salvation Army officer asking if they could buy some of the album in bulk. I added the two bonus songs, got DiscMakers to do some artwork based on a few photos I sent them, and voila! :) The production on the album on the album isn’t stellar, but it was recorded in the kitchen of our cramped 2 bedroom apartment (in the attic of someone else’s home in Boston). I didn’t even have a decent mic stand, so I had to lay the mic on my desk and adjust my chair height appropriately for some of the guitar work. Ah, you gotta love shoestring budgets…. Still, I think there are good moments on the album and I hope you enjoy…
